It all started with a promise & a kiss, or rather the planning of one. This mother daughter team (Sharon Lee & Danna Shaffer) started it all just by planning Danna's wedding. Danna has always had a very unique since of style and a creativity that has inspired others and Sharon has always had a talent to make anything happen. So everyone knew that the wedding would be special. While they planned Danna's, other ladies who were also planning their weddings were impressed by Danna & Sharon's unique ideas and asked for help. So before the big event took place, they planned and decorated two other weddings. A year later when people were still complimenting them on how beautiful the ceremony and reception had been, it struck them that maybe this was what they were meant to do.
"I've never settled for anything in my life. I've always been taught that if you're gonna do something, go all out!" says Danna. "I've always had ideas about how I like things, but you can't buy them in a store. So... Mom and I would make it ourselves. It's funny, because I would decribe what my latest project was and most people would kind of turn up their nose at it, not able to picture it. Then later, when it was done people were begging me to tell them where I bought it or how I came up with it. My wedding was no different. I don't like the ordinary."
Together Sharon and Danna decided to make A Promise & A Kiss, so that women had a chance to make their dreams come true, too. No woman wants their special day to be ordinary, because they are not ordinary women. Your wedding or special event should be an expression of the unique and beautiful individual you are. It's your day to shine. Shine brighter than the rest!
And as for the name? Well... what is a wedding anyway?? It's just A Promise & A Kiss... the rest is just details.
